Indication/Description:
METHOCIN is a combination of Sulfadimethoxine and Trimethoprim which are potent against Gram (-) and Gram (+) bacteria and unicellular or organism.
Treament effect can last for 24 hours so it is advised to give injection once a day.
- Poultry: for the treament of chronic CRD, pneumonia, pasterellosis, E.Coli, typhoid, diarrhea, sepsis, histomoniasis (blackhead disease) and haemoproteus infection.
- Cattle, canine and equine: for the treatment of gastroenteritis due to Salmonella, E.Coli and Vibriosis, dysentery, urogenital infections, mastitis, abscess, pneumonia, pasterellosis and rhinitis.
Administration & Dosage:
I.M, S.C and slow I.V injection. Infection can be given twice, then revert to a single dosage per day for 3 - 5 days.
- Poultry, rabbit: 1ml/5 kg of b.w/injection
- Cattle, canine and equine: 1ml/10 kg of b.w/injection.
Note: METHOCIN can be administered orally with the following dosage
- Poultry: on the first day of treatment, 1ml/1litre of drinking water, then half the concentration to 0,5ml/1 litre of drinking water for the rest of the period.
- Cattle: 1ml/10 kg b.w, treatment should be given once a day.
Withdrawal period:
Withdraw 12 days after last treament for slaughter.
Withdraw 06 days after last treatment for milk collection.
